This historic 1976 image depicted what was the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC), Building 26, that had been located on the organization’s Chamblee, Georgia campus. After a campus-wide renovation, this building, and the campus’s entire physical plant, was replaced by newer, more energy-efficient structures. The CDC owns 50-acres of property in Chamblee, Georgia which is located in Northeast Atlanta, and is approximately 8-miles from the organization’s Roybal Campus headquarters. Both campuses underwent a 10-year construction plan that consolidated staff on the two campuses. All projects were underway by 2009 and were completed in 2012.
