Description:Under a low level of magnification, this photomicrograph revealed some of the morphologic ultrastructure displayed by a fungal organism of the genus, Oidiodendron.
This dematiaceous, or darkly-pigmented mold is composed of irregularly branched, septate hyphae. Members of this fungal genus are commonly found in wood pulp and soil.
