Caption:
This image depicts a blood agar plate (BAP), which had been inoculated with Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis bacteria, and after allowed to incubate for an undisclosed amount of time, gave rise to this crop of bacterial colonies. This specimen was transilluminated during observation, meaning that the light was passed from behind, and through the specimen.
