Gary Brunette, this image depicted what is known, as a replenishment at sea (RAS) exercise, whereupon, one naval vessel, was having its supplies restocked by another. In this case, the aircraft carrier, USS Bataan (foreground), from whose bow this shot was captured, was being replenished by an unknown naval vessel, while on its Caribbean Operation Unified Response (OUR) mission, providing public health assistance to the people of Haiti, after the country’s devastating earthquake.
