Under a magnification of 500X, this photomicrograph of a hematoxylin-eosin (H&E)-stained kidney tissue sample, which was extracted from a patient who had been diagnosed with a case of invasive candidiasis, revealed the presence of numerous yeast staged, Candida sp. organisms. See PHIL 15639, for a lesser magnification of this kidney tissue sample.
