These Budgerigar “Budgie” parakeets, Melopsittacus undulates, also known as the common parakeet, were on display in a pet store, ready to be purchased by a visiting consumer. Care should be taken with all pet birds in order to avoid acquiring possible diseases they may carry. Infection is acquired by inhaling dried secretions from infected birds.
