Caption:
This image depicted the penis of a patient, whereupon, the exposed underside revealed a sebaceous cyst. Such cysts occurs when an oil producing gland of the skin becomes clogged with dead skin cells and other debris, and swells with the further production of sebum, or oil. Sebaceous glands produce oil at the base of each hair follicle, which helps to lubricate the hair shaft as it continues to grow, and move towards the uppermost surface of the skin, thereby, becoming visible as hair.
