This photomicrograph is the second in a series of three images, depicting the cellular content of a peritoneal exudate extracted from the abdominal cavity of a guinea pig. Numerous white blood cells (WBCs) of the polymorphonuclear (PMN) type represent the prevalent cell type. This image was captured under a magnification of 250X.
