Seen from a dorsal perspective, this was the left front foot of an unidentified species of mouse that had become swollen and erythematouss due to an invasive fungal infection known as lobomycosis, caused by the yeast-like fungal organism, Lacazia loboi, formerly known as Loboa loboi.
