This image was produced, by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in 1997, and was entitled, IDU-Associated AIDS Cases and Rate per 100,000 Population by Race/Ethnicity, Reported in 1996, United States. The slide illustrates that based on the overall population, black and Hispanic injectable drug users, though in the ethnic minority, reported by far, the greatest number of AIDS cases in the U.S.
