Description:This image depicts a variety of laboratory measuring flasks that are used to provide units of liquid measurement in both milliliters and ounces, in the case of the green and red-bottomed flasks in the background, milliliters and teaspoons in the yellow-bottomed flask at front-left, and milliliters and tablespoons in the case of the blue-bottomed flask at front-right.
This simple laboratory still life represents, but a few of the implements in the repertoire of tools used by a laboratorian when conducting experiments, or studies that require precise volumetric calculations, in order to achieve the desired accurate experimental results. Though conversions may be made between differing units of measure, when measuring liquids relative to each respective experiment, one must maintain a consistency concerning what units are being used throughout the procedure.
