This image was captured during a 1977 Segbwema, Sierra Leone Lassa fever investigation. In 1977, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) traveled to Sierra Leone to participate in a Lassa Fever Research Project. The study included general activities in Sierra Leone, at the Kenema Laboratory, and in the town of Segbwema.
