Description:This picture was taken inside a home kitchen, and depicts a halved red bell pepper, Capsicum annuum, set atop a clean, well-worn cutting board. The pepper’s core had been exposed revealing numerous heart-shaped seeds, as well as its bright red flesh. Before being cut, this pepper was thoroughly washed with soap, and warm water, removing debris, and surface contaminants.
Almost everyone needs to eat more fruits and vegetables. A growing body of research shows that fruits and vegetables are critical to promoting good health. To get the amount that's recommended, most people need to increase the amount of fruits and vegetables they currently eat every day.
