Description:This image depicts a yellow ceramic cup that contained hot water, and resting on its rim was a steeping tea bag. In the background you’ll note a lemon, which may be added to this drink, imparting a delightful hint of citrus.
Made from the leaves of Camellia sinensis, tea is a drink high in antioxidants, and other chemical components including flavanols, flavonoids, polyphenols, and catechins, which have all been linked to improved health by imparting neuroprotective, anti-inflammatory mechanisms, lowering blood cholesterol and sugar levels, and reducing the incidence of various forms of cancer.
