This photomicrograph of a dermal skin tissue specimen, revealed some of the histopathology exhibited by an intradermal keloidal blastomycosis infection, which was caused by the fungus, Blastomyces dermatitidis. This had been a long-standing infection, resulting in a chronic granulomatous inflammatory response. This particular view, highlights the fibrotic changes evident in a neighboring lymph node.
