This picture was taken in Harare, Zimbabwe, during a 2012 workshop, which was organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) and their partners, including the Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) Programme, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This was the first training focusing on monitoring and evaluation, which was provided on behalf of the NTDs Programme, whose roster consists of 10 countries of the WHO’s AFRO region. Based on the positive response to this experience, more workshops will be sure to follow.
