This image depicts a still life composed of a number of items set atop a mirror that represented controlled substances often ingested, inhaled, or injected by illicit-drug users. Included were a number of red oblong tablets, a pile of a finely granulated white powder, into which a razor blade had been set upright, and in the foreground were two unopened syringes.
