Caption:
Captured during the necropsy of a deceased muskrat, this 1968 mage revealed findings indicative of a case of tularemia, which was later confirmed by a fluorescent antibody (FA) microscopic examination, an example of which can be seen in PHIL 1905 through 1909. Of note, was the presence of pinpoint necrotic foci in the spleen (green arrowhead).
