Caption:
This image depicts a single, young colony of fungal organisms from the genus Sepedonium, which had been grown on a medium of Sabouraud dextrose agar. Colonies of Sepedonium initially display a waxy, white character, and as they age (see PHIL 14750) the colony develops a more woolly, or cottony texture, and an eggshell, or yellowing coloration.
