Viewed from behind, this was a study focusing on the comparison of the colonial growth and development of colonial coloration exhibited by a number of different dermatophytic fungal organisms grown on an unknown medium. From left to right, the study included Microsporum audouinii, M. canis, the fluffy strain of Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Epidermophyton floccosum, and a second tube of the powdery strain of T. mentagrophytes. The image was captured after 1-week of growth. See PHIL 14704 for a frontal view of these colonies colonies.
