Description:This karyogram depicts a complete complement of condensed human chromosomes that had been stained using quinacrine, thereby, revealing a fluorescent banding pattern upon each chromosome according to its genetic composition.
By revealing these banding patterns using various stains, genetic aberrations are exposed, aiding in the diagnosis of genetic-based disease processes, and the causes for congenital abnormalities.
