This image depicts the interior of a Japanese Buddhist temple, which was located in Bodh Gaya, a revered religious site located in the Gaya District in the Indian State of Bihar. It is said to be the site, whereupon, Gautama Buddha obtained Enlightenment, or Bodhimandala. The scenario was captured sometime in January, or February, 1975, by Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Bureau of State Services personnel, during a smallpox immunization tour.
