Using a Ped-O-Jet®, and wearing his favorite hat, this historic image depicts a vaccinator in the process of administering a vaccine to the left arm of a young child, who was being held by his mother. The image was captured in the Republic of Chad, during that country’s participation in the worldwide Smallpox Eradication/Measles Control Program of the 1960s and 1970s.
