Under a magnification of 1200X, this photomicrograph of a brain tissue sample reveals some of the cytoarchitectural details associated with a case of neurotoxoplasmosis, caused by the parasite, Toxoplasma gondii. Note the round tissue cyst, within which, numbers of developing, T. gondii bradyzoites are visible.
