This transmission electron microscopic (TEM) image revealed the ultrastructural appearance of a number of Sin Nombre virus (SNV) particles, or virions. SNV is a specie of the genus Hantavirus, the primary etiologic agent of hantavirus cardiopulmonary syndrome (HCPS), also referred to as hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS).
