Description:This father was shown walking on a Georgian city street, while holding hands with his two young children, his son to his left, and his daughter to his right. Having been given the green light to walk after pausing on the far side of the street, the three had entered the intersection, crossing inside a designated crosswalk. Adherence to the rules and regulations governing our roadways, as well as staying alert and focused on the activities taking place all around you, will make for a much safer walking experience, especially on a city street.
When taking a walk make sure that you’re wearing what might be the most important item in your outfit, comfortable, flexible, well-fitting walking shoes. Comfortable, brightly-colored clothing is also recommended. Sunscreen and a hat are also considered essential to your walking attire.

Also, very important to a healthy trip is the inclusion of water. "Water, water, water. It's a good idea to drink some water before you head out to walk, while you are walking, and when you get back—even if it's cold outside or you don't feel thirsty. In the summer, late afternoons (not nights) and mornings are the best times to walk to avoid the midday heat and humidity."

"Remember—start out slowly and gradually increase the speed and distance you walk—don't try walking a marathon your first time out! And no matter where you are walking, be aware of what is going on around you."
