This kitchen still life depicts a healthy salad in the making, taking shape on a clean countertop atop a cutting board. Included in this view was a glass salad bowl in the background containing lettuce, carrots, purple onion, broccoli, cranberries, and was about to receive some ripe tomato, which was in the foreground. A small glass bowl can also be seen off to the right containing additional dried cranberries. It is very important to prepare foods in as clean an environment as possible, thereby, minimizing the introduction of foodborne contaminants into the food preparation process.
