This cook was in the process of preparing her healthy vegetable salad, which was composed of broccoli, purple onion lettuce, and carrots, all contained in a clean glass bowl. To the mixture, she was adding dried cranberries she had scooped from a small bowl, sprinkling them over her delicious salad. She was working in her kitchen atop a clean cutting board. It is very important to prepare foods in as clean an environment as possible, thereby, minimizing the possibility of introducing foodborne contaminants into the food preparation process.
