Description:Caption:
This 1969 image was captured in Niger, West Africa during the Smallpox Eradication and Measles Control Program efforts in that country. These three Nigerien men were standing around what appeared to be a cobra snake, while the man in the foreground at left, was actually handling a number of live snakes. The three were signing an unknown tune, and two of the men were playing handmade drums as musical accompaniment.
