A closer view of PHIL 12423, this photograph depicts the colonial morphology displayed by Gram-negative, Burkholderia thailandensis bacteria, which was grown on a medium of sheep’s blood agar (SBA), for a 24-hour time period, at a temperature of 37°C. Also, see both PHIL 12401 and 12402, for views of this bacterial species, grown on the same medium, at the same temperature, however, for a longer period of time (48hr). PHIL 12408 and 12409, also display B. thailandensis colonial growth on the same medium, but at a higher temperature (42°C), and at twice the time period (48hr). Finally, PHIL 12431 and 12432 display this species’ bacterial growth, again on SBA, and for the same amount of time (24hr), but at a greater temperature (42°C).
