In this November 1975 image, members of the Patuakhali District Surveillance Team were preparing for a group photograph, after the National Smallpox Search Program. The team was posed in front of the Patuakhali District Health Office. The Smallpox Reward Banner was being displayed by the group, and Smallpox Eradication Team member, the bearded Dr. Michael Schwartz, could be seen standing on the left.

PHIL images 1191, 3258, 5664, and 12290 through 12367, were supplied by Dr. Michael Schwartz, and capture the epidemiologic-related activities undertaken by healthcare providers from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and local Bangladeshi healthcare workers, during their successful attempt to eradicate smallpox.
