This historic 1961 image depicted two men in a village in India, as they were in the process of spraying the insecticide DDT (dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane) in, and around huts. One man was using a bucket-pump, while the other was directing the spray using a hose. This activity was part of the International Cooperation Administration (ICA) program, which took place in India, and Viet Nam.
