Posing a question to one of the male presenters, this African-American woman was one of a number of attendees to a town hall meeting conducted on behalf of the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR). The purpose of these meetings is to collect community concerns and share health messages about local environmental issues.

Presentations such as the one being offered here by the health educator, or health assessor, are usually followed by audience participation through such question/answer breakout sessions. These sessions educate the listeners to the effects of site-specific exposures, how people are exposed, and for how long they were exposed, also referred to as the exposure dose.
