Under a magnification of 500X, this photomicrograph of a PAS-stained (periodic-acid-Schiff) primate tissue sample, revealed some of the histopathologic changes associated with what was determined to be a case of lobomycosis due to the fungus, Lacazia loboi, formerly known as Loboa loboi.
