Description:This photograph was captured on September 16, 2008, and depicts a moment during a visit made by former President George W. Bush to the Galveston, Texas City Hall Emergency Operations Center, three days after the landfall of hurricane Ike.
From left to right, standing alongside the former President, was Health Commissioner David Lakey, Texas Department of State Health Services, and Steve Boedigheimer, CDC Senior Management Official. In this particular scene, the three men were discussing the emergency operations, which were underway after the natural disaster.
