Description:NASA/NOAA's GOES Project Captures Dramatic Satellite Image:

This satellite image was captured on Sept. 1 at 13:32 UTC (9:32 a.m. EDT from Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES-12). In the image, Hurricane Gustav was just crossing the Louisiana coast while Tropical Storm Hanna was spinning near the Turks and Caicos Islands.
GOES is operated by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). It was created by NASA's GOES Project, located at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Md.
