This 1968 image depicted a number of varicella, or chickenpox lesions on the face of a yong child. Chickenpox is an infectious disease caused by the varicella-zoster virus (VZV), also known as Human herpesvirus 3 (HHV-3), which results in a blister-like rash, itching, tiredness, and fever.
