This 1975 transmission electron microscopic (TEM) image revealed the presence of a number of Bunyamwera virus (BUNV) virions, a member of the virus family Peribunyaviridae, and the genus Orthobunyavirus. BUNV is a negative-sense single-stranded RNA viruses ((-) ssRNA), which are spread through contact with infected arthropods and rodents.
