This transmission electron microscopic (TEM) image revealed the presence of numerous intracellular, group C RNA tumor virus particles, which were present inside this central nervous system tissue specimen. The RNA tumor virus is a member of family Oncovirinae, and are linked to the initiation of tumors, otherwise known as oncogenesis.
